Theatre
Story & Song
Ages: 5-7

This class is an introduction to the art of theatre with an emphasis on storytelling. Participants will explore the basic elements of acting, including tableaux, character development, voice, emotional response, stage direction, blocking and more. Through simple script work, fun exercises, games, improvisation and interactive sing-alongs, students will work on their creativity and teamwork skills to create a final performance piece based on a classic storybook for their friends and family.
Junior Musical Theatre
Ages: 7-10
When: Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm

Discover the magic of musical theatre and learn to be a “triple threat” in this exciting and engaging class designed for young performers. Students will explore the core elements of musical theatre, including singing, acting, and dancing, while building confidence and fostering creativity in a supportive environment. Each 10 week session will focus on vocal technique, acting skills, character development, storytelling, choreography and stage presences. Through fun exercises, group activities, and rehearsal of iconic musical theatre pieces, students will develop their talents and teamwork skills. The class will culminate in a showcase performance where participants can shine on stage and share their newfound skills with family and friends.
Stagecraft

Ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes? The show behind the show? In this class, students will get the VIP pass backstage and learn the basics about what it takes to build a show. This is perfect for the ones who may not want to step into the spotlight but rather, be the ones who control it. This series will be a mixture of lecture based and applied practice classes which will introduce students to backstage terminology, stage management, lighting and set design, culminating in the creation of a maquette based on a story of their choice.
Playmaker's Workshop
Ages: 10-13

Unleash your creativity in this exciting, hands-on class where you’ll transform your ideas into an original stage production! In Playmakers Workshop, students will explore the art of storytelling, scriptwriting, and performance as they create their very own play from scratch. From brainstorming characters and crafting dialogue to designing scenes and bringing them to life, students will develop essential skills in writing, collaboration, and theatre arts. Guided by the instructor, participants will work together to build their story, rehearse their lines, and even have a say in costumes, props, and set design. The class culminates in a live performance for family and friends. Whether you dream of being a playwright, actor, director, or all of the above, this class is your chance to shine!
Jukebox Musical Creation
Ages: 14-17

From musicals like Mamma Mia and Moulin Rouge, the ever so popular jukebox musical will continue to live on at our karaoke parties. But what makes a jukebox musical? In this class, students will have the opportunity to take a well-known classic fairytale and add their own spin by applying modern music. Working together, they’ll create a pop music-infused re-telling where perhaps the Three Little Pigs may choose to belt out a Taylor Swift song! No prior music theatre experience necessary, only the willingness to create!
Improv
Ages: 10-17

Students will learn to think on their feet, embrace spontaneity, and develop essential skills in communication, storytelling, and collaboration. Whether you’re an aspiring performer or just looking to step out of your comfort zone, this class provides a supportive and laughter-filled environment to explore your imagination. Participants will work on collaboration, spontaneity, active listening, character development through learning the fundamentals of improv, especially the acceptance of others’ ideas. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to play and have fun!
Adult Musical Theatre

Love musical theatre and want a fun, welcoming way to get back on stage- or try it for the first time? This adult musical theatre class brings together singers, movers, and storytellers to explore a mix of classic and contemporary musical theatre songs in a supportive, low-pressure environment. This 10-week session focuses on building basic skills in vocal technique, simple choreography, and acting through song. Expect a mix of learning, laughter, and creativity as we break down lyrics, characters, and movement to bring songs to life. No professional experience required. Just a love of musical theatre and a willingness to give it a try.
Drama Drop-In

Perfect for actors, improvisors and anyone looking to boost confidence, creativity and teamwork, our theatre game drop-in sessions offers a supportive environment for students to explore the fundamental of theatre while making new friends and having fun. Each session will offer a unique array of games and activities designed to enhance collaboration, stage presence, acting skills and thinking on your feet. All experience levels are welcome and no commitment required, just drop in, have fun and let your imagination run wild.

Junior Rock Band
Ages: 7-9

Learn to play the music of your favourite bands in this rock band course. Participants will be grouped by ability, so a range of experience is welcome! Never played before, but want to try out some different instruments? This is a great way to get a feel for all of the instruments in a typical band (guitar, bass, drums, piano, vocals, ukulele). If you are already learning to play an instrument, take it even further by playing with others. Playing as a group is a great way to build musical skills, and have a whole lot of fun. Learn to play favourite tunes, write your own song, give your band a name, put together a music video, and of course get a great band photo. This is a fun way to explore music, or take your skills to the next level.
Youth/Teen Rock Band

Take your playing to the next level and experience what it’s like to be in a real band! Bands will be grouped based on age, interest, and experience - we recommend that you have started taking music lessons or learning your instrument before joining youth rock band. Typical rock band instruments would be guitar, bass, drum, vocals, piano/keys - but we would love to include any instrument! We’ll learn classic tunes, and also current favourites (chosen by you), develop song writing skills, stage presence, and even learn how to set up equipment, The session wraps up with a live performance — because being in a band is all about making music together and having a blast doing it!
Adult Rock Band
Ages: 18+

Do you sing or play an instrument and have always wanted to join a band? Maybe you already have a band, but could use some mentorship to take it to the next level. Sign up as individual, and we will create band groups based on interests and ability. If you are part of a band already, your whole group can sign up - just let us know on the registration form. Professional musicians Laura Greenberg and Dylan Roberts will be on hand to help with things like, song selections/learning songs, improving overall sound, dynamics, getting the most out of your equipment, and much more. We’ll teach you to play songs, both from our suggestions and yours, work on performing as part of a group, with the course ending in a final performance.
Echoes Adult Choir is a fun, modern choir program for adults ages 17 to 80+ who love to sing, connect, and perform music that spans the generations. Whether you’re coming back to singing or trying it for the first time, Echoes is all about helping you find your voice, challenge yourself, and be part of something creative, exciting, and full of life. Music has a way of bringing people together, and a choir is a warm, inclusive space where everyone can grow, learn, and enjoy making beautiful music together. This season's theme: A Journey Through Pop. From Fall 2025 to Spring 2026, we’re taking you on an unforgettable musical journey through pop's greatest hits and cultural icons. From classic hits by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and The Eagles to the iconic harmonies of Backstreet Boys and the slick beats of The Weeknd, we'll also rock out to timeless anthems like Bohemian Rhapsody and Africa. Echoes brings together music lovers from all walks of life for a truly unforgettable choir experience.
